Job Title: Assistant Health Coordinator
Job Location: Khartoum with regular field visits (60%)
Reporting to: Health Coordinator
Length of Contract: One Year renewable
Grade: 6 step
Gross Salary: 2278.84 SDG

General Description of the Role
The overall aim of this position is to assist the Health Coordinator in the day to day support of GOAL North Sudan’s Primary Health Care Program. GOAL programs include primary health care, nutrition interventions and community health programming (health promotion). HIV and gender themes cross-cut all program sectors and activities

Key Duties
Provide technical support to field health staff on all aspects of the PHC program. Ensure proper monitoring systems in place are correctly used by the field sites, provide appropriate training as needed, liaise with the Area Health Managers, Clinic Supervisors and Heads of Clinic on health program issues, ensuring good lines of communication and follow up as needed and to monitor and evaluate health activities and advise on adapting interventions as necessary, in line with MoH guidelines, GOAL guidelines and international best practices

Requirements
Primary degree / Masters in Public health, medicine or similar
Clinical/Nursing/Midwife skills essential
At least 5 years of practical experience working in health programs for an international NGO
Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills to plan projects, timetable agreed activities and oversee staff activities
Excellent communication and training skills with track record of building/developing cohesive teams
Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a multi-national country team
Ability and willingness to travel to locations outside Khartoum and live in sometime basic conditions
Good computer skills including Word Excel statistics packages
