Position Title : SECTION HEAD BUDGET & COST CONTROL

Location : Khartoum
Reporting to: Finance Manager

Scope of work
Plans, supervises and participates in a range of budget & cost control activities to assist in the financial planning, cost measurement and control of all COMPANY’s costs

Job Accountabilities
Supervise the Development of work plans, programs and associated budgets for finance department in order to meet anticipated activities
Implements program once approved operates within budget guidelines according to Company policy, including endorsing any expense requirements and providing monthly reports indicating status against programs and budgets To ensure that all activities have being performed within the budget

Supervises and participates in cost tracking, to ensure that all costs are accurately recorded on a monthly basis and the accruals provisions have been provided for

Identifies current status of costs against budget, reviews financial records for capital and fixed assets to ensure charges made to each account are correct Codes, classifies and as required, re-classifies accounting data for cost reporting purposes and to provide information to the concerned budget holders

Supervises and participates in out ongoing budget analysis to capture and report expenditure and to manage approved capital budgets (AFE's)i

Monitors expenditure patterns, reconciles processes and provides accurate and timely reports this include the Identifications of predicted shortfalls, to enable COMPANY to provide for sufficient funds to meet its predicted obligations

Supervise the Development of work plans for documents custody, in order to maintain adequate and safety control over documents

Supervise the insurance over COMPANY’s assets, in order to make sure that all assets are covered by valid insurance certificates

Provides top management assistance when requested to ensure the smooth execution of all COMPANY activities from a financial perspective

Minimum Requirements
Degree in Business, Accounting or Commerce
15 years' in accounting, financing, costing & budgeting experience, together with a strong general accounting background Ideally experience should cover project accounting/cost control
Fluency in English
