Programme Manager - Serving Humanity Muslim Aid

Position: Programme Manager
Location: Khartoum
Duration: One Year (Renewable)
Salary: To be negotiated

Main responsibilities
To develop an agreed programme strategy and operational plans
To design and prepare proposals for programme interventions and seek and/or identify sources of funding for new programmes
To manage all aspects of the programme, including technical support and supervision, and the development of effective monitoring evaluation and reporting systems
To prepare regular reports on programme activities and programme donors and quarterly reports as agreed
To represent and liaise with key partners in both the government and NGOs provide support for appropriate capacity building to partner NGOs
To develop good working relationship with a number of international NGOs, funders and senior managers of government departments
To ensure effective management, support and development of all staff engaged by Muslim Aid in the programme work
To ensure budget responsibility for a;; active projects that she/he is managing and ensure sound financial monitoring and accountability of the projects
To maintain strong links with community leaders, government, NGOs ,etc,
To work with the head of programmes to draw up the development programme strategy, and ensure cohesion between Country and organizational objectives
To work collaboratively with other teams within Muslim Aid to ensure consistent approach to development programmes
To assist with programme audits and assessment where necessary
To assist the head of programmes to ensure that the programmes development operates within a sound financial management framework

qualifications
University degree or its equivalent in management, social science, international development planning, or related field

Experience
Experience in successfully developing and managing development programmes
Proven management, programme appraisal, development, and monitoring and impact assessment skills
Proven experience of drafting and writing project documents or appraisals
Ability to develop linkage with NGOs

Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking and analysis
Strong coordination and negotiation skills with stakeholders Work experience in multicultural environment
